Plague Divine Will Card Revealed!

– Thu, Aug 30, 2018 at 01:10:25 AM
For centuries, plague represented a disaster for people living in Asia, Africa and Europe and because the cause of the plague was unknown, plague outbreaks contributed to massive panic in cities and countries where it appeared. The “Black Death” or the Great Plague, originated in China in 1334 and spread along the great trade routes to Constantinople and then to Europe, where it claimed an estimated 60% of the European population.
The Plague Outbreak! One to three units in each army receive one wound. The unit that drew this card dies instantly. A player can save his army from these effects by flipping the Flagellant amenity token in his camp.

"Outremer" Army First Sneak Peek: Turcopole Unit
over 6 years ago
– Tue, Aug 28, 2018 at 12:03:07 AM
During the period of the Crusades, turcopoles (also "turcoples" or "turcopoli"; from the Greek: τουρκόπουλοι, "sons of Turks") were local mounted archers and light cavalry employed by the Byzantine Empire and the Crusader states. Turcopoles had lighter and faster horses than the western mounted troops and wore much lighter armor. Usually, this comprised only a quilted aketon or jerkin and a conical steel helmet.
The Saracens considered turcopoles to be traitors and apostates, giving them no quarter wherever they met. The turcopoles who survived the Fall of Acre followed the military orders out of the Holy Land and were established on Cyprus with the Knights Templar and Rhodes and Malta with the Knights Hospitaller.
The Turcopol is a unique unit from "Outremer" army add-on. These light mounted archers don't have the Charge ability, but even severely wounded Turcopol still keeps enemies at bay with his composite short bow!

Hi everyone! Mike's here, and Alex will be here too, later today. We took our time to recharge and now we'll go on with production to bring you the most opulent board game in human history. Let's have a brief report to see where we are:
1. All Glory Boxes were sold out, giving us a total of $9600 to spend on improvements.
2. We'll be live on BackerKit in 14 days after our Kickstarter campaign has ended. That's how the system works, and we would have loved to make it faster, but alas it's impossible. Until then we'll be live here on Kickstarter and our Facebook page.
3. Our first goal for the next month is the illumination of army add-ons. We'll show you new, more accurate Templars, and also yet-unseen ones:
"People's Crusade", employing the entlrely different view on the army building, kind of "Zerg Rush" tactics: hordes of one-point units, including regular Pilgrims, Slingers who are the cheapest shooters, Marauders able to carry three coins at once, Axemen, Clerics and their famous leaders: Walter the Penniless and Peter the Hermit;
"Outremer" joint forces, presenting unique Gasmouloi and Turcopolier units, along with Hospitallers and Knights of the Holy Sepulchre, and the valiant King of Jerusalem at the head;
"Inshallah," which is the only adequate response to "Deus Vult!" and the last unannounced army to bring the Saracene warfare to a new level: Light Cavalry with hit-and-run ability, Greek Fire, Camel Archers, Catapult, Imams and the most chivalrous of all Saracens, Saladin himself!
This add-on will definitely give you an idea why the loss of the Holy Land was inevitable, and also why "Fortunes and Fates" add-on is so focused on the Purgatorium management.
Stay with us, follow the updates and behold the progress of the Gilded Crusade! Deus lo Vult!

Urbi et Orbi!
Mike is here. So many times I wrote these words and now it feels like I'm saying them for the last time.
But the story has just begun! You made it real, breathed life into it, put muscles around its dry millennia-old bones, and made old faded parchments to burst in sparkles. It was incredible. It was amazing. It was a miracle.
We never thought we'll make so many friends here. We never thought they would be so brilliant, so cheerful, and so inspiring. It's a great pleasure to work for you, o Noble Congregation!
And we'll go on, with a triple effort! We are opening two art positions right now and eager to bring you the best art possible, finished before the snow will fall.
You probably already have read this in the comments: we continue our Gilded Crusade on BackerKit and we will open a store as soon as we get all the formal things done. We will announce all the add-ons before the end of September and make them all available for ordering (except for the Deck of Deeds).
All this crusade jazz won't stop! We will keep you updated daily and I'm always here to answer any of your questions. Well, to be honest I'll be back after a couple of days of chthonic slumber with more informative and less emotional message because now I just need a bit of recharge.
Thank you all again, every one of theCongregation of Righteous! Diego, Diana, Jop, Marina, mr Waller, Quentin, all the noble volunteers and supporters! Al Khakim, O Decoration of Sarracenian kindred! We can't name each one of you here, but we will do it on the game board – forever sealing your noble names on the picture of our 30-days long Gilded Crusade.
You all made our dream come true. Now it's our turn to fulfill yours. And we will for DEUS LO VULT!
Final Stretch Goals Revealed!

It's time to reveal the last two Stretch Goals!
$60 000
"Humpty-Dumpty" SG brings in the full range of medieval artillery and engines instead of basic Trebuchet and Belfry.
$70 000
"Heaven and Hell" is the last SG, so we give it an epic proportion. We'll redesign the game board the way it will present the Purgatorium below the game board and Heaven above it, with clouds, angels, and Throne of Glory itself, with specially organized illuminated places for game tiles and cards.
