Urbi et Orbi! Mike is here.
First of all, I want to beg your pardon, O Noble Congregation, for staying silent for such a continuous time. All our trials and tribulations were so challenging, quests and tasks were so numerous, and anxiety was so harsh that it rendered us utterly unable to communicate with the public, but in this grave silence we were just clenching our chipped medieval teeth and going on with our Gilded Crusade labors for greatest glory of the Lord. As a year has passed, a lot of things happened, a lot of things were done, and many things are yet to be taken care of. Let's have a look into these, one by one.
Settling legal and tax issues took an unbearably long time and was quite an excruciating experience. Bureaucracy is hell. Period. And I'm happy this period is over.
The main news is that we've done drawing all the Unit Tokens and Divine Will Cards, for the core game and all of the add-ons.
We're finishing the game board face now, and after that, it'll be the time for the last and most affluent part: the back piece with all the Glory Box congregation members.
The last add-on review, on the Outremer Army, comes on Monday, followed by DW Weather Cards, exclusive KS amenities, new camp tokens, and city quarters - you better stay tuned!
Also, I have say a few words about the rulebook translation project, this flaming wound of my heart. Forgive me, O Righteous Ones, for I have screwed up and made a lot of mistakes there. First, I've published it for a translation way too early, when many of game mechanics were subjects to change yet, and now we have a substantial part of work to be re-done. Second, I've made a separate work file for each language, and it was a huge mistake, for it turned out that people have mostly the same questions in each instance, making me running in circles, answering the same questions over and over again, making its time cost x15 for me. Thus, I had to postpone this in favor of more critical tasks at some point. Now we're about to start the whole thing over again, with the ultimate rulebook contents that are up-to-date and with the kind assistance of pro technical writer. Nonetheless, it was all my fault, not yours, O Glorious Translations Volunteers, so every one of you will get the promised reward and all the glory you deserve - and if you still have your desire to lend us a helping hand with that task, we'll be obliged to you eternally. I'll post a separated update on this topic soon, so we could work out the solution.
BTW, we've started making the appropriate website for the game because both KS and BK pages are not very informative and illustrious.
We've hired Lukian the Pre-press Guy to perform all the adjustments required to process the digital image into a high-quality offset printing layout file, and he started digging in it already, but we still have nothing of interest to present you.
It's time to look closer into production, so I got my plane tickets to visit the boardgame factory in Shanghai to check up the factory and initiate the game production, on Feb 15-20. Yes, there will be a stream from the very heart of it!
This is about all the news in few large strokes. Also, since my anxiety stopped chewing on me so hard and I'm able to communicate again, I've started thinking of making some Q&A video stream session before I'll leave for China. Please let me know what do you think of this idea, and let the Lord bless your patient souls, O Noble Ones!

Leopold V of Austria Special Unit Highlight
about 6 years ago
– Sat, Dec 22, 2018 at 02:31:19 PM
We announce this Special Unit token on this particular day for a reason. 826 years ago, 22 December 1192, Duke Leopold had his greatest day and became infamous for capturing one of the most glorious warriors of all times - Richard the Lionheart (detention of a crusader was contrary to public law, so Pope Celestine III excommunicated Duke Leopold. Not that it helped to set Richard free, though).
Not long before the Third Crusade, Duke Leopold was granted a right to use his new banner by Emperor Henry VI, so Leopold was flying his colors by any occasion possible. During the siege of Acra, Leopold also put his banner on a wall already captured by Richard forces.
Enraged Richard orderedto remove Leopold's flag and throw it to the latrine. This act insulted duke so much that he abandoned the crusade and wrathfully left for his Austrian home. Later, his vassals captured Richard on his way home and held him for the ransom of 35,000 kilograms of silver.
Whenever the Angevins take the last coin from a city, Leopold V could be tapped to seize the eventual Amenity instead of the Angevins.
Leopold V can attack Richard to grab a coin from his camp. Angevins can tap a Latrine Amenity Card to send Leopold to his citadel immediately.

Avicenna Divine Will Card Highlight

"Medicine is the science by which we learn the various states of the body; in health, when not in health; the means by which health is likely to be lost; and, when lost, is likely to be restored. In other words, it is the art whereby health is concerned and the art by which it is restored after being lost." "The Canon of Medicine" by Avicenna, 1025 AD
Avicenna ( ابن سینا); c. 980 – June 1037, was a Persian man of science who is regarded as one of the most significant physicians, astronomers, thinkers, and writers of the Islamic Golden Age. He has been described as the father of early modern medicine. Of the 450 works he is known to have written, around 240 have survived, including 150 on philosophy and 40 on medicine. Avicenna authored a five-volume medical encyclopedia:
The Canon of Medicine (Al-Qanun fi't-Tibb) that was used as the standard medical textbook in the Islamic world and Europe up to the 18th century.
The Avicenna Divine Will Card brings this infamous hakeem (healer) on a game board, instantly curing a certain number of wounded Saracens. He could also heal wounded Crusaders, too - but not for free! Discard one gold piece for each of your units to recover.

Moses the Jackass Amenity Highlight

Yet another admired pet of Deus Lo Vult big family, Moses the Jackass received his name for bringing people home from a desert, just like his biblical namesake did.
He fearlessly rushes right into the sheer hell of desert heat and sandstorms to save another poor lost soul. Flip this token to pick up your MIA unit from the game board and return it to your Citadel.
