New Stretch Goals Announced!

Urbi et Orbi!
Our crusade is gathering more and more speed. We have reached $25,000 in pledges, which brought us on the verge of success and also granted one more point, opening the next goal: The Pilgrim's Guide To The Holy Land update!
This update gives a unique flavor and name to each of City Quarters. Instead of just having three general types (Rich, Middle-Class, and Poor) there will be Gardens, Palaces, Bazars, and Workshops, having their specific landmarks and features from now on - and it's ALREADY UNLOCKED!
The next point will bring an exclusive present, single-handedly invented, designed and drawn by Alex The Opulent Master Of Deus Lo Vult: the brand new Amenity card! Sometimes you can make a hundred people withhold from crimes by merely making a good example out of a single one, and the Gallows is a pretty good way to present such example for it can be seen from afar and also offer some didactic message about the legal concept of private property.
And yet another Goal Point will add the biggest and probably the funniest Stretch Goal Reward of all we had for now - "The Personal Issues #1"!
Two unique Heroic Persons for every army: Philip IV, Louis IX, Richard the Lionheart, Elanor of Aquitania, Frederic I Barbarossa, Duke Leopold V of Austria, Olivier lo Templier and El Cid - all in one incredible powerpack, each with incredible perks and traits!
Also, we are going to have a bit more new fantastic stuff to come today:
Detailed Highlight on "The Personal Issues" heroes pack
Revealing the never-seen-before city-related gameplay mechanic that we've done testing and now eager to show!
Stay tuned! Deus lo Vult!

Bishop the Cat Announced!

Urbi et Orbi!
Cats are beautiful. Cats are sacred. Everyone needs a cat.
Our team counts four people and five cats. Thus, it is utterly impossible for us to make a game with no cats involved. No one would need a game like that!
Lady and Gentlemen, meet a new star of the Cardboard Crusade: Bishop the Cat, the game’s cutest Amenity!
Bishop is on his own Crusade against the infidel Saracenian rodents. Whenever the Rati Divine Will Card is played, each player has to discard up to three coins for rat-eaten provisions. But not in the blessed camp that Bishop patronizes! Just tap the Bishop, and he'll take care of those pesky pests and keep your belongings intact. Bishop the Cat has an ancient feud with Sultan the Dog (you'll meet him later this week), so you have to tap him whenever Sultan the Dog token is being untapped after use, for Bishop hates him and leaves the premises at once. But, in return, you can untap Bishop for free whenever Sultan token is tapped anywhere on the map.

On Godless Delivery Prices

Urbi et Orbi!
The most frequent and most painful question for us is a question of delivery price. Nineteen silver pieces have considerable value on both sides of the Great Salt Water, and we're in a constant search for a better solution here. But we feel like it's time to get things clear.
Currently, we gonna print in China. It gives us the best production costs, but logistics are painful for both Europe and the Americas. But at the moment given, we have around 500 backers total at both Old and New Worlds, and it takes an industrial amount of copies to produce the game on the industrial equipment. No factory is interested in 300-copies order; thus we have to consolidate production for all orders in single place.
If only we could have at least 1,000 backers in the USA, and about the same number in Europe, then we’ll be able to start production locally, which will drop the delivery price dramatically. We believe this is a matter of time, for we welcome some 30-70 new crusaders every day so we may have an excellent chance to meet this number in a couple of months (we're about to announce our post-KS plans soon, but we are already able to say one word, and this word is "BackerKit")
Upon reaching these numbers we’ll re-calculate the delivery price for all pledges. But we always will appreciate the contribution of those who did believe in us in the very beginning and pledged $19 delivery to get us all this far. In recognition of that fact, we’ll reimburse you the difference between old and new delivery price with add-ons of your choice at an exceptional discount!
Also, to commemorate your sacrifice, there will be exclusive assets:
“Tabellarius Foederalis” Divine Will Card, which instantly sends all coins currently carried by the Crusaders right into their camps.
“Camel Train” Amenity Card, which instantly secures the first coin plundered in a city.
Spread the word! Vote for us on Kicktraq and everywhere else, share the links and call your friends for this is the best way to make this bright future come faster! Deus Lo Vult!
Ignis Graecus: New Stretch Goal Unlocked

Urbi et Orbi!
Achieving two Stretch Goals in a day is incredible! We are on fire! Speaking of fires...
" The fashion of Greek fire was such that it came to us as great as a tun of verjuice, and the fiery tail of it was as big as a mighty lance; it made such noise in the coming that it seemed like the thunder from heaven, and looked like a dragon flying through the air; so great a light did it throw that throughout the host men saw as though it were day for the light it threw."
Ignis Graecus (the Greek fire) was an incendiary weapon employing combinations of pine resin, naphtha, quicklime, calcium phosphide, sulfur, or niter. The impression made by the Greek fire on the western European Crusaders was such that the name was applied to any sort of incendiary weapon.
The Greek Fire token is a very unique unit. It doesn't attack like any other unit. To use the Greek Fire token, the player must tap it. Upon tap, Greek Fire token produces a surge of hell-flames, sawing the seeds of terror even in the bravest of souls. All units adjacent to it must retreat or be instantly reduced to ashes, and all adjoining amenities are burned to the ground. The whole contraption is highly unstable; thus the second use always destroys the Greek Fire afterward and sends its crew to the Purgatorium. Greek Fire also explodes when being killed by an enemy, creating the same effect.
“When the Saracens came to attack him, they threw Greek fire onto the barrier he had made; and the fire caught easily, And you should know that the Turks did not wait for the fire to burn itself out, but rushed upon the Templars among the scorching flames.”

Knights Templar Add-on Announced!

Urbi et Orbi!
With glee and gratitude, we look at how our Cardboard Crusade is gaining new supporters. It is gratifying to see the brave Englishmen flying the Anjou lion banners, and the French adorned with golden lilies. Beautiful and innumerable are warriors of Holy Rome, and the Spaniards shone with the glory of the Castilian Crown. But there is another force without which the history of the crusades would be incomplete, and of which we are most often asked in personal correspondence.
"Where are they? When will they come to the rescue?"
But I was silent, unable to give you an answer, O beloved children.
And so, it finally happens! This morning, the new war cry thundered all over our camp!
Beausant! Beausant! Beausant!
Today we are announcing the first of the "Deus Lo Vult" add-ons: "Knights Templar." This is the first addon in the lineup of additional armies, which will consist of the Corner Camp with "gonfanon baussant" - the "piebald flag" of the Knights Templar, and the tent of the Grand Master, and a complete set of soldiers - knights, sergeants, cavalry , archers and siege machines - along with the unique units of the Templars - the Chaplains, with the new unique Miracle ability! Besides, the Pope made the Order exempt from tithes and taxes, i.e., totally immune to the effect of Capitularius Divine Will card:
Soon we will prepare a detailed highlight on this, but if you think the valiant Templars do not need an additional presentation, you can order this addon for $10 right away with three easy steps:
Step 1. Once you have backed the project, click on the “Manage Your Pledge” button.
Step 2. Click the “Change Your Pledge” button to increase the amount so that it includes the cost of your chosen add-ons.
Step 3. After the end of a campaign, you will gain access to the Pledge Manager, where you will be able to indicate how to attribute your pledge funds.
